November saw luxury cruise line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, announce that they will be introducing two guest experience enhancements following guest recommendations and luxury cruise trends.
The introductions will be implemented fleetwide and include the opening of its pool grills serving relaxed, gourmet dinner al fresco as well as the ability to use shipboard credits on ship-based purchases prior to departure.
Sunset Dinner at the Pool Grill
Guests on-board Regent ships have indicated that creating an alternative causal dinner experience would be great, perfect for relaxing after a day of immersive shore excursions. Luxury cruises traditionally serve guests gourmet cuisine in dining rooms on board, however with this introduction, Regent can offer a much more customised guest experience for those on board.
The cruise line will be service dinner at its pool grills on all four ships every evening and, despite the casual ambience, the fare is quite luxurious. Enjoy delectable dishes including Provencal marinated lamb chops; striploin minute steaks; thyme and garlic roasted chicken; and caramel popcorn eclair.
The Pool Grill is open-air yet shaded for comfortable dining, and the attire is relaxed. Jason Montague, Regent Seven Seas Cruises President and CEO said:
“Every guest has a slightly different definition of luxury. For some, the ability to relax and enjoy the finest cuisine in a casual setting, while watching the sunset from the pool deck of our ships and seeing the ocean waves go by, is luxurious. Our goal is to deliver a personalised experience to all our guests and serving dinner at the pool grill is one more step in delivering this customised guest experience.”
Shipboard credit use prior to departure
Based on guest recommendations, the cruise line has also now allowed guests to have early access to use any new or existing shipboard credit. Starting with voyages departing on or after 1 May 2019 guests can apply their available shipboard credit prior to boarding towards a variety of experiences such as:
- Regent Choice Shore Excursions – Available fleetwide
- Executive Collection Private Car tours – Available fleetwide
- Culinary Arts Kitchen Classes – Available aboard Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Explorer
Advance access to shipboard credit will allow guests and their travel partners to plan their voyage and preferred activities easily, all prior to sailing.
Both implementations will certainly help guests to create a more customised experience on-board Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ ships, as well as enjoying unforgettable service which is personalised to them.
As luxury cruise trends change and develop, it shows that cruise lines are happy to not only listen to their customers but also adapt to these trends and create a cruising experience for all to enjoy.
