Regent to offer unlimited internet access

Clearly a line which stands by its maxim of offering a luxury voyage where everything’s included, Regent Seven Seas Cruises has recently announced that complimentary unlimited internet access is available to passengers who sail after January 15 2015 in a number of suite classes.

Getting online while at sea can prove costly, so for those who like to sail the Cyber Sea at the same time as sailing a geographical one, this is sure to be good news. Cruisers who book with the line in Master, Grand, Seven Seas, Horizon, Mariner, Navigator and Voyager suites can all look forward to unlimited internet access, completely free of charge. The service is available in all suites as well as public spaces on-board the ships, thanks to each vessel’s ship-wide Wi-Fi system.

This latest announcement is timed perfectly, as the line has recently completed a multi-million-dollar upgrade to the internet systems to be found on all Regent Seven Seas ships. Upgrades involve a doubling of bandwidth and an expansion of the Wi-Fi network to provide ship-wide connectivity.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ President Kunal S Kamlani, commented: “The expansion of our free internet program, coupled with widespread enhancements made to the ships during recent dry docks, strengthens the luxury proposition found on Regent Seven Seas Cruises and better prepares us for the arrival of Seven Seas Explorer, which will be the most luxurious ship ever built.”

That eagerly-awaited vessel is set to hit the ocean waves in the summer of 2016 and will offer the highest space-to-guest ratio of any cruise ship, catering for just 750 guests.
