Seabourn Launches Digital Newspaper

In an innovative move, Seabourn are launching their very own digital newspaper – the PressReader Offline.

Fully customisable, the magazine service is set to be rolled out on the Seabourn Odyssey, Sojourn and Quest. Providing breakthrough technology to each and every passenger on-board is no mean feat, especially when there can be thousands of guests on each ship.

The key to this new innovation though, is ease of use. Guests will be able to download the service onto personal iOS or Android devices, whether they are in port, or at sea. The PressReader app gives guests access to over 2,500 global publications, including newspapers and magazines in their entirety.

Perhaps the most striking innovation of this all-new feature is weirdly simple. The PressReader App won’t require an online connection to provide the latest news and entertainment to passengers.

That’s right – you won’t have to connect to WiFi to get access. Instead, Seabourn ships will download the content daily, and store it on a local network. Easily accessible by guests, this huge cache of information will provide everything passengers need – all without them striving for a connection.

Best of all? This new service is complimentary for now. Here’s hoping Seabourn guests have brought their iPads.
