Welcome Back Oceania Insignia!

The Oceania Insignia has finally returned to service for Oceania Cruises after undergoing a multimillion dollar refurbishment – the biggest in the line’s history. The Insignia sailed into the port of Barcelona on Spain’s Mediterranean coast last week sparking excitement amongst cruisers and crew members alike. Her arrival back in port after a two-year charter also marks Oceania Cruises very first season with a five-strong fleet of ships. We have received exclusive information and brand new images of the vessel, so read on to find out more!

The ship-wide refurbishment has improved and enhanced almost every area of the vessel, including the suites and staterooms on-board. All of the Insignia accommodation has been thoroughly upgraded. As you can see below, the Penthouse suites have been equipped with stylish new furnishings and a fresh colour scheme to reflect the subtle tones of the sea, sky and sun. Elsewhere on-board, the Owner’s and Vista suites have received new deluxe shower facilities and oversized bathrooms offering guests an abundance of space.

The Insignia’s already stylish public spaces have also received a make-over during the latest refurbishment. The Horizons Lounge has been decorated with elegant shades of blue, cocoa brown and mint to complement the spectacular ocean views visible from its large floor-to-ceiling windows, whilst Martinis has also been renovated to create the perfect setting and ambience in which to unwind with a drink and chat to fellow passengers.

Even the Canyon Ranch Spa – which was already a haven of peace and tranquillity – has been revamped with a stunning collection of mosaic artwork, designed to enhance the venue’s soothing atmosphere through its décor.

Other on-board facilities that have benefitted from Oceania’s comprehensive refurbishment include the spacious pool deck, on which guests can relax in a lounger or take a dip in the pool, and the on-board theatre, due to host an array of show-stopping performances over the coming season.

The Insignia’s excellent dining venues haven’t missed out either, with Waves Grill, Terrace Grill and Baristas all benefitting from a new lick of paint and a range of other innovative features, including a new speciality grill and an Illy® cappuccino machine, to create the ideal environment in which to enjoy a hearty meal while at sea.

If all of these improvements aren’t exciting enough, the Insignia is returning to explore more of the world than ever before, venturing to fascinating and exotic destinations across the globe. The ship is also due to debut two completely new 180 day World Voyages, travelling to every corner of the planet from January 2015 and again later that year in July.
