Why wait? Benefits of booking early

There are a number of reasons why booking your cruise as early as possible is the best option, with various benefits to securing your place on the ship as far in advance. It’s often debated whether booking as early as possible or waiting for a last minute deal is the best option but when it comes to six star cruises, it’s much more common that you’ll just want to secure the cruise that you want without much of a worry about the cost. So here we provide a number of reasons why booking your cruise as early as possible is the way to go.

Of course the most obvious reason is that you’ll make sure the cruise you want is booked and that you don’t miss out on a place on-board. Cruises are popular and do sell out, you can’t expect to leave it to the last minute and still be guaranteed to have rooms that are free to book.

Linked to this is the fact that the earlier you book, the more availability there will be and therefore you’re much more likely to book the stateroom category that you want. If there is a certain part of the ship that you want to book, such as the aft-facing stateroom, or you’re looking at a ship with a limited number of suites but that’s what you really want for your holiday, booking early helps to ensure you’ll find something that is available.

Also the sooner your book, the easier it is to plan your cruise holiday. You’ll have more time to work out which destination and ship is right for you, rather than relying on what’s available, and following your booking you’ll have the most time to work out any extras that you want to pre-book, including reservations in speciality restaurants, excursion places or any gifts or treats you want to buy in advance.

Another benefit for booking early is that a number of cruise lines offer their best prices far in advance, so the most amount of time you allow before booking, you may end up having more money to put towards other parts of your holiday such as spa treatments, or to spend in the on-board boutique.

And of course, the sooner you book, the more time you’ll have to get excited for your holiday – which in itself makes it worth securing your place at the earliest possible opportunity.
